Eligibility Criteria for PSCWB Audit & Account Service Exam :

■ Educational Qualification : A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce of a recognized University or Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Membership of the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants of India. If candidate possess any one of just mentioned educational criteria then he/she can apply for the post.

■ Age Limit : Not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2016 (i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1984).. Age Relaxation available to the reserved category as per government norms. Madhyamik or equivalent certificate will be accepted as a proof of Date of Birth.

■ Other Criteria :

• A citizenship of India or such a person of other nationality as declared eligible by Govt. of India.
• Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali) – vide Finance Department’s Notification No.1243-F(P) dated 02.03.2016.

Salary/Pay : (PB-4A) Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400/- Gross emoluments at the entry level : Rs.21,000/- besides D.A., M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.

Application Fee : A fee of Rs. 200/- + Charges Extra. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD with more than 40% are not requied to pay any fee. Reserved Category candidates of other states should be treated as un reserved category, and thery are require to pay fee as applicable.

Recruitment Process : The West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service Recruitment Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz., (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) and (ii) Main Examination (Conventional Type) followed by Personality Test. A number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Preliminary Examination will be allowed admission to the Main Examination and a number of candidates to be selected on the results of the Main Examination will be called to appear at the Personality Test.
