Notification

Subject: Admission in Polytechnics, 2016-17

Kind attention: Principals / Officers-in-Charge All Polytechnics in the State

This is for information of all concerned Principals / Officers-in-Charge of the Government, Govt. Sponsored and Self-financed Polytechnics in the State that Online Portal for application to JEXPO-2016 & VOCLET-2016 will be made live w.e.f. 16.03.2016 on the website www.wbsctvesd.net. M/s Mittal Infosystems Pvt. Ltd. has been entrusted with the responsibility of designing the web portals and maintaining necessary liaison with the Polytechnics in respect of different aspects ofonline applicationforJEXPO & VOCLET. Candidates have to submit application along with photo and signature online logging in to the respective web portal, take out a print out of the filled in application form cum money receipt and report to any of the Polytechnics with application fee (Rs.450/- or Rs.225/- for Kanyashree Enrollees) in cash. Candidates have to put their full signature on the print out.

On receiving such application, Polytechnics have to

• Log in to the respective portal using login Pass-word and enter the application form number to verify the photo and signature of the candidate in the portal. Please compare the photo with the candidate. Pass word will be sent to the mobile number of Principals/Officers-inCharge of respective polytechnics.
• Verify Kanyashree Document & ID Number in case of Kanyashree candidates
• Receive application fee in cash if verification result is O.K.
• Put signature and stamp on the money-receipt counterpart and return to the applicant.
• Retain the form with a part of the money receipt.
• Validate the application by clicking the "VALIDATION" key.
• Check the list of validated candidates at the end of each day to ensure that all received applications are validated.
• In case of rejecting a form, specify the reason of rejection from the drop down menu. Further to state that without validation by the Polytechnics, online application of a candidate will not be complete and accepted by the system.

Availability of Forms & Form Submission	From All Polytechnics affiliated to WBSCTE.
Application Fee	Rs. 250/- Rs for Kanyashree Enrollees. Rs. 500/- for All Others.
Educational Criteria	for JEXPO 2016 : Passed 10th Standard with at least 35% marks (without Additional Subject and Without rounding-up) at the qualifying examination. for VOCLET 2016 : Passed/Appeared 12th Science with Vocational Subjects from WBSCVET or Passed 2 years ITI after 10th Class.
Age Criteria	15 years and Above. No Upper Age Limit.

From now and on wards this West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development will conduct the whole admission process for Admission To Polytechnic Diploma Colleges in West Bengal through JEXPO & VOCLET 2016. It is also to be noted that the OFF Line OMR Based Application Form will be distributed from Polytechnic Colleges from 15th February 2016. Previously The Technical Education Division of WBSCTVESD on 08/02/2016 has confirmed that they will provide offline form for JEXPO & VOCLET Entrance Exams 2016. This is for kind information of all Principles and Officers in Charge of Government, Government Sponsored and Self-financed polytechnics of the state that OMR Application forms and Information Brochure of JEXPO-2016 & VOCLET-2016 will be distributed from the Kolkata Karigori Bhavan, 110 S N Banerjee Road, Kolkata - 700013 on and from 11.02.2016 (Thursday). Selling of application forms from the Polytechnics shall start on and from 15.02.2016 and shall continue till 21.03.2016 (excluding Saturdays & Holidays). Application fee for both JEXPO & VOCLET is Rs. 500/- (for Kanyashree Enrollees, fee is Rs. 250/-) and will be paid by the candidate in cash. Other terms and conditions of form sale shall remain unchanged.

In view of the above, all Principals and Officers in Charge of the Polytechnics are requested to collect OMR forms and Information Brochures of JEXPO-2016 & VOCLET-2016 from the above mentioned address by sending their representatives with requisition and authorization letters.

How to Appear in the Entrance Exam and Take Admission to Diploma Engineering Courses through JEXPO and VOCLET ?

Ans - Candidates interested to Study in the field of 3 Year Diploma Engineering should check their eligibility first. If they meet the required criteria they should fill the Application Form for JEXPO or VOCLET depending upon their eligibility. Generally Entrance Exam Application Form of JEXPO, VOCLET are issued in January to February for the coming academic year. And the Entrance Examinations JEXPO, VOCLET is conducted in between April and May. After appearing in the Entrance Exam a Candidate gets their Result/Rank Card evaluating the OMR Based Answer Scripts. Now is the turn of Online Counseling cum Seat Allotment Process. Candidates Now Fill Form for Online Counseling They Fill Choice of Their Desired Engineering Colleges. There after Seat is allocated in colleges based on the Candidate's Rank & Filled Choice. This Seat Allocation is an Automated Process based on a Pre Set Algorithm. If a candidate get a chance to take admission to the desired college after the 1st round seat allotment then the candidates take final Admission to the allotted college. If the allotted seat do not satisfy the desired choice, then a candidate should take Initial/Provisional Admission to the allotted Colleges and wait for the Next round of counseling for getting better seat asper your choice.
