WBUTTEPA M.Ed Admission Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates who are interested to take Admission to the M.Ed Course by WBUTTEPA must possess any of the the qualifications/ equivalent grade mentioned below.- B.Ed Training (Bachelor of Education) with 50%
- B.A, B.Ed with 50%
- B.Sc, B.Ed with 50%
- B.El.Ed with 50%
- D.El.Ed with an UnderGraduate Degree (with 50% Marks in each).
Fee for M.Ed Course Admission :
■ Application Fee :
Application fee as applicable for WBUTTEPA M.Ed Admission to be paid either through online mode using Debit/Credit Card at the time of online application or through Offline mode via Bank.Online Payment using Debit/Credit Card.
- General/OBC - Rs. 750 + Rs. 18 (Service Tax Extra).
- SC/ST/PWD Category - Rs. 450 + Rs. 11 (Service Tax Extra).
Offline Payment through Bank.
- General/OBC - Rs. 750 + Rs. 25/- (Bank Charge).
- SC/ST/PWD Category - Rs. 450 + Rs. 25/- (Bank Charge).
■ Course/Programme Fee :
Rs. 1000 to be paid (may be counselling participation fee) before counselling. Rs. 5000 to be paid (non-refundable) in cash on spot on the day of counselling for seat booking. Maximum Rs. 75000/- to be paid per year for 2 years. Rs. 75000/- includes a "Refundable Caution Money" of Rs. 5000 (Five Thousand) Only. Hostel Charges, University examination Fees may be realized separately.
WBUTTEPA M.Ed Admission Seat Information and Reservation & Relaxasion :
Number of Seats :
- Number of seats in each college is 50. Reservations will be according to norms.
- All the details in this regard will be notified in the website before the date of first counselling.
- Deputed teachers serving in substantive posts in Teachers’ Training Institutions will be given preference. These candidates will be selected on the basis of length of continuous teaching experience.
- 30% seats will be allotted for Language Group, 30% Science and Mathematics Group and 40% for Social Science Group.
N.B. Names of the Colleges are given separately. Some other colleges may be included within a short time which will be notified accordingly in due course in the University website.
Reservation and relaxation:
Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates will be as per Govt. rules. Relaxation of 5% marks will be admissible as per Govt. rules. The Reservation as stated is not applicable for Self-financed Colleges.

Selection Process/Admission Test for M.Ed :
WBUTTEPA will hold a Written Test of 50 Marks, which consist of 50 MCQ types of question from B.ED General Papers. There will be provision for deduction of .25 marks for each wrong answers and the test will be of 90 minutes.
