Important Instruction :

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES
(The instructions must be read carefully)

1. Candidates should bring with them Photo Admit Card of Madhyamik/Equivalent Examination or any other Photo Identity Card along with Application Form Submission Receipt (WORK ASSISTANT-2016 Booklet) for proof of their identity, without which candidates may not be allowed to enter into the Examination Hall.
2. Candidates will bring with them Black/Blue Ball Point Pen only.
3. Candidates must enter the Examination Hall 30 minutes before the start of the examination to receive general instructions for answering MCQ type questions.
4. Candidates will not be allowed to use Graph Papers, Log Tables, Calculators, Mobile Phone, Tab, Digital Diary, Pager or other electronics devices in the Examination Hall as well as Books, NoteBooks and Papers etc.
5. This Provisional Admit Card must be shown to the officer supervising the examination as and when asked for.
6. Violation of any instruction and adoption of any unfair means in the Examination Hall shall render the candidate liable for cancellation of his/her answer sheet and forfeiture of his/her claim for admission.
7. All applicants who appear to be prima facie eligible are provisionally permitted to sit for this Entrance Examination (WORK ASSISTANT-2016). If after scrutiny at any stage, it is found that an applicant is otherwise ineligible, his/her candidature will be cancelled automatically even if he/she has appeared at the examination and secure position in the merit list.
8. In case any discrepancy is observed in the data printed on this Provisional Admit Card pertaining to the candidate’s personal details, the same should be brought to the notice of the WBSCTVESD before the date of examination.
9. Claim of seats reserved for SC/ST candidates is strictly for applicants having caste certificate originated in the State of West Bengal only. SC/ST candidates belonging to other state outside West Bengal shall be treated as General category candidates.
10. Original copy of SC/ST/PC certificate, as applicable, will be required at the time of counseling and admission.
11. Candidates must fill OMR Answer Sheet very carefully in the Sl. Nos. 3 & 4 as recorded in this Provisional Admit Card and Sl. No. 5 & 6 as recorded in the Question Booklet.
12. Rough work or any other type of writing should not be done on the OMR Answer Sheet. Question Booklet may be used for the purpose.
13. Candidates may download the Sample OMR Answer Sheet and Examination Schedule from this website.
14. This Provisional Admit Card should be preserved by the candidates till completion of admission process.
15. Candidate can not leave the exam center before completion of examination i.e. 02:00 P.M.
16. No Candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after 12:15 P.M.
17. OMR anshwer sheet should be handed over to the invigilator of the examination hall before leaving the examination center.

Overview : Applications in prescribed format are invited from willing and eligible candidates for admission in full-time NCVT certified Work Assistant course under Flexi MoU scheme of 02 years duration in Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) pattern to be held in 11 Government ITIs.

Eligibility Criteria for Work Assistant Course :

■ Educational Criteria : Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination (with science and mathematics as compulsory subjects) pass candidates from any school located within the state of West Bengal.

■ Age Limit : Applicant should have attained at least 16 years of age as on 01/08/2016. i.e. born before 01/08/2000.

Documents Required at The Time of Admission :

Shortlisted candidates have to produce original and self-attested copy of the following documents, at the time of admission:

1. Self-attested photo copy of Admit Card of madhyamik or equivalent examination as proof of age.
2. Self-attested photo copy of mark-sheet of Madhyamik or equivalent examination.
3. Self-attested photo copy of Certificate of Madhyamik or equivalent examination.
4. Certificate in a prescribed Format given in FORMAT-I, regarding location of the school to be issued by the head of the institution in School's letterhead from where he/she acquired minimum entry qualification.
5. Self-attested photo copy of certificates SC, ST, PH certificate (if any). A Candidate should have certificate in his/her name only for availing admission under any reserved seat (SC/ST/PH).
6. Self-attested copy of Kanyashree enrollee certificate/document.

• No enclosures will be required during submission of OMR / online application form.
• Submission of Class X passed certificate is mandatory for admission. If any applicant fails to produce the required documents at the time of admission, he/she will be debarred from admission even after his/her name in the merit list and securing seat in counseling.

How to Apply for Work Assistant ?

Online Mode : Cancidates can apply online. Detailed instruction related to online application will be available in the website www.wbscvt.net. However, a print copy of filled up online application form needs to be downloaded from the website and to be submitted at any nearby Government ITIs and Polytechnic College along with application fee as mentioned in the cash deposite slip i.e @ Rs. 500 (Rs. 250/- for Kanyashree Enrolled Candidates). Online application will be considered only when the downloaded print copy of the filled up form along with application fee is received at different form selling counters.

*** Supporting Document for Kanyashree Enrolees : Kanyashree enrollee candidates need to produce supporting document during collection as well as submission of filled in application form.

Offline Mode : Blank OMR application forms along with information brochure will be available against a payment of Rs. 500/- in cash (Rs. 250/- for Kanyashree enrolled candidates) fom the Government ITIs and Polytechnic Colleges tentatively from 14th June 2016 to 27th June 2016 on all working days from 11:00 am to 04:00 pm. Filled up application forms are to be submitted at any of the Government ITIs and Polytechnic Colleges. Application form is to be filled up according to the guidelines mentioned in the information brochure and "filling up instruction" available in the application form. Application forms are to be submitted in person only. Forms sent through any other mode/place would be treated as cancelled. Any error in application form will be treated as cancelled.
