Honorable minister Mr. Jyotipriya Mallick, Food & Supplies of West Bengal recently announced that Government of West Bengal is going to recruit 1000 trained Civic Volunteer in the Rice Mills of West Bengal. Food Department will be recruiting this Civic Volunteers. Recruitment process has already been started as reported (but recruitment advertisement not published yet) This recruitment will be done for 1 year initially and it will be extended later. To apply for the post willing candidates needs to go to the office of Police Super of Districts. to ensure transparency in work flow and also to prevent black marketeers. Allowance of Rs. 10,000 /- per month will be given to the volunteers. On 12 November, Minister announced in Press Conference.
Vacancy Details : Total Vacancy 1000. One civic volunteer per rice mill also there will be two civic volunteers appointed in case of large rice mills.
Training & Duty : Candidates will be appointed in Rice Mill of Own District. After selection training will be given to volunteers by the food department. There after they will be appointed in the Rice Mills. Volunteers need to present in the particular rice mill all the time during working hours. They need to keep record incoming/outgoing of paddy/rice of rice mill. All the details will be uploaded in the website of Department of Food and Supplies.
